About the forum
Welcome to the 2nd Libya International Laboratories Forum and Exhibition, under the slogan “Modern Technologies in Laboratory Diagnosis” under the supervision of the Ministry of Health of the Government of National Unity, and under the generous patronage of His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister – Acting Minister of Health, Eng. “Ramadan Abu Janah”.
The forum will be held from October 19-20, 2024, at the Rixos Hotel Halls Complex in the capital, Tripoli. The forum brings together a group of senior specialists and researchers in the fields of laboratories and modern technologies in laboratory diagnosis; to review modern technologies and their use in the health sector and support health institutions. The forum also represents a unique opportunity to build bridges of cooperation between medical laboratory researchers, scientists, doctors, and university faculty members, especially in the field of laboratories, in an effort to increase knowledge of modern technologies in the field of medical laboratories and blood banks. Several activities will be held on the sidelines of the forum, most notably the second Libya International Laboratories Exhibition, which covers the practical side of the forum. Medical institutions, medical equipment and pharmaceutical companies will find in the exhibition a platform to display their advanced technologies, medical devices and equipment that they are responsible for supplying to the Libyan market. It is an opportunity to network and learn about the latest technologies from medical institutions, hospitals, medical centers and laboratories.

Through the forum, we seek to shed light on the latest technologies in the field of laboratories and their use in the health sector in Libya, and improve the quality of laboratory diagnosis, leading to the provision of high-quality medical services.

- Development of diagnostic techniques for cancer
- Modern trends and practices in laboratory and blood bank accreditation
- Applications of molecular diagnostic techniques and genetic engineering in laboratory diagnostics (or in vitro diagnostics)
- Raising awareness of the One Health concept and its importance in the field of laboratory work and its development
- Building bridges of cooperation between medical colleges, medical institutions and laboratories
- Developing the medical laboratory profession by exchanging experiences between its cadres inside and outside the country
- Discussing the most prominent challenges, problems and difficulties facing workers in medical laboratory departments
- Encouraging the use of modern technologies in the field of medical laboratories
- Focus on the importance of quality management in developing the quality of results and outputs.
